All OK at Salsburgh Moss East - the 7 or so new trees over the burn have all taken and not been vandalised. A few hawthorns remain near the path, and a rowan and alder are doing fine. Quite a lot of natural re-generation of silver birch too. Cleared undergrowth, and got a soaking for my trouble.

Wee trees doing fine at Kate's Well - 3 rowans, 3 beech, 2 holly, 1 sycamore, 1 wild cherry? Some now over 6 feet tall! Cleared undergrowth, and got a soaking for my trouble!
Good news at Broadwood - all the wee trees have survived and prospered, and had no vandalism. This might be due to the fact that it's ankle-breaking territory - it's been logged, but the cut logs just dumped around, blocking drainage and now concealed by undergrowth. There's hawthorn, rowan, and holly. The site is naturally re-generating too, so in a few years it'll look much better than it has since the ill-planned logging. A few protectors were a bit clogged with grass, but that was easily cleared. Got out before the rain started too!
