So I tackled a big bit of gorse - I fancy planting some oak and holly, which are ready to go at the allotment.
A bonus was that the gorse was drowning out a wee rowan, which I rescued.
On the way down, a rowan which I rescued from gorse last year is flourishing and has a good crop of berries.
Uncontrolled gorse is a menace - but it's hard to eradicate - it's creeping back into areas I cut in the past.
